Old Observatory in Tartu

The foundation walls of the building were a mixture of field stones, bricks and concrete blocks. After cleaning the foundation the surfaces were levelled with FEB Febond SBR polymer mixture. Epasit bdk/2k thick-bitumen cover was installed on exterior wall for waterproofing and it was covered with ISO-DRAIN 8 Diagonal protection and drainage mats. Capillary barrier was made and masonry’s inner gaps were filled using injection method – using a low viscous acrylate gel MC Injekt GL-93. Basement floor roof-ceiling was waterproofed in two layers using a self-adhesive rollable membrane Grace Bituthene 4000.
