A caisson in Valgma viaduct in Tallinn-Tartu highway Mäo traffic junction

GRACE Preprufe 300R rollable membrane was installed on the base plate of the caisson prior to concrete casting and areas around injection rods were sealed with liquid membrane. Caisson walls were primed and covered over with GRACE Bituthene 4000 rollable membrane. The edges were sealed with liquid membrane. ISO-DRAIN 8 Diagonal insulation and drainage mat was installed to protect the waterproofing.

Caisson interior concrete surfaces were cleaned with high pressure washing. Xypex Concentrate coating that is based on crystallization was installed on caisson base and rotations for waterproofing, subsequent treatment with Xypex Gamma Cure curing agent. Deformation joints were filled with PVC deformation joint filler Grace Serviseal Type B, which was covered with stainless steel sheet and a protection board resistant to hot asphalt.
