Supervision of the quality system, EMS and OHSAS is carried out by Notified Body No. 1020.
Instruction for preparation and application
Base preparation Surface must be clean, dry and dust free (dust must be removed by an industrial vacuum cleaner).
Application of solution. The solution is applied by spraying or by a roller or, possibly, a brush usually in two layers, in the amount which the treated surface is able to absorb. The goal is not to create a coat on top of the surface, rather penetration of the agent into the maximum depth. Second layer should be applied onto moist first layer (moist to moist), the first layer should not dry out.
Treated surface must be protected from rain and direct sunlight for at least 6 hours. In case of rain the treated surface should be covered.
Neither temperature of the base nor temperature of ambient air shall be below + 5 °C and above + 30 °C. At the temperatures higher than +25ºC the diluent evaporates quicker and therefore the ability of penetration to the deeper parts of the surface is lower. Tools and equipment can be cleaned with water.
Specific consumption The spreading capacity (specific consumption) of the FOBISIL extra W amounts depending on the absorbability of the surface to 0.04 ÷ 0.25 l/m2.

Instruction for preparation and application
Base. Any incoherent, loose or weatherworn particles shall be removed from the base. The surface cannot be contaminated by substances negatively effecting adhesion of the coat to the base (fats, greases, oils, etc.). Tensile strength of surface layers of the base shall be 1.5MPa at least. Corroded reinforcement and visibly damaged concrete shall be properly repaired. When coating is applied, the new concrete shall be 28 days old at least and moisture of the base should not exceed 8%.
Penetration of the base. The first step, which precedes the finishing coat itself, is penetration of the base. The composition EPOLIT W diluted in the following rate is used for penetration.
EPOLIT W – component A | 5 weight parts |
EPOLIT W – component B | 1 weight part |
water *) | 0,5 – 1,5 weight parts |
*) Water quantity depends on absorbance of the base |
Penetration is applied preferably by a roller or, possibly, a brush in quantity amounting approximately to 100 ÷ 150 g/m2 in dependence on absorbance of the base. Penetration may not create any film on the concrete surface.
This composition is prepared by proper mixing of components A and B in specified rate. The mixing rate is the following:
EPOLIT W – component A | 5 weight part |
EPOLIT W – component B | 1 weight part |
Components A and B are mixed in a sufficiently voluminous vessel by an electrically driven low-speed propeller agitator.
Workability. Workability of prepared composition depends to certain extent on ambient temperature. The prepared
composition is workable 120 minutes under 20 °C. The prepared composition shall be efficiently protected against desiccation. It is also recommended to mix it from time to time.
Neither temperature of the base nor temperature of ambient air shall be below +5 °C and above +30 °C.
Application of the coat. The first step is penetration of the base. Penetration is applied preferably by a roller or,
possibly, a brush in quantity amounting to approximately 100 – 150 g/m2 in dependence on absorbance of the base.
EPOLIT W is applied in two layers with technological break of 24 hours. It is applied preferably by a roller or, possibly, a brush in quantity amounting to approximately 300 – 350 g/m2 per one layer.
If EPOLIT W is applied by spraying, it is practical to adjust its consistence by water in quantity up to 25%
Open time. After mixing the so-called open time of both penetration and coating is max. 120 minutes under 20 °C. It is necessary to take into account that the open time is significantly reduced with increasing temperature.
Dilution. The composition can be diluted by drinking water or water with similar quality, if any. Working aids and tools shall be washed in warm water with added detergent immediately after completion of work. It is also possible to use acetone for perfect cleaning of tools and aids.
Specific consumption Specific consumption of the penetration EPOLIT W amounts to 0,1 ÷ 0,15 kg/m2 in dependence on roughness and absorbance of the base. Specific consumption of the coat EPOLIT W amounts to 0,3 ÷ 0,35 kg/m2 per one layer in dependence on roughness of the base. This consumption ensures that the hardened film is approximately 120 – 150 µm thick

Initial tests types according to EN 1504-2 issued by TSÚS Bratislava.
Protocol No. 1301-CPD-0257 issued by TSÚS Bratislava. Supervision of the quality system, EMS and OHSAS is carried out by Notified Body No. 1020.
Instruction for preparation and application.
Base. Any incoherent, loose or weatherworn particles and dust shall be completely removed from the surface of the repaired base. The concrete surface cannot be contaminated by substances negatively affecting adhesion to the base (fats, greases, oils, etc.). The concrete should be left to cure for at least 14 days before the application. Penetration of the surface by BETOSIL fixativ W proved well for better anchoring of the coating.
Preparation of the penetration coat. The penetration coat is properly mixed and homogenized before application itself. The coating composition does not need any further dilution, but a small amount of clear water can be mixed in properly to adjust the composition if required.
Workability. Workability of the penetration composition is unlimited. The penetration composition shall be effectively protected against desiccation
Neither temperature of the base nor temperature of ambient air shall be below +5 °C and above +30°C. Ideal temperature for application is between +10 °C and +25 °C.
Application. The first step is penetration of the base by the penetration and anchoring coat BETOSIL FIXATIV W. The penetration coat is applied preferably by a roller or, as the case may be, a brush in quantity amounting to approximately 100 – 150 g/m2 in dependence on absorbability of the base. In case of larger surfaces it proved well to apply BETOSIL FIXATIV W by spraying using some suitable airless devices.
BETOSIL W shall be applied after 24 hours. The first coating layer is evenly applied by a brush to avoid creeping of paint. The second coating layer will be applied by a roller after another 24 hours. If BETOSIL W is applied by spraying, it is practical to adjust its consistency in the amount up to 10%. Coating shouldn’t be applied in rain, strong wind or in the intense direct sunlight. Tools and contaminated places shall be immediately washed by water.
Specific consumption
Spreading capacity (specific consumption) of the BETOSIL W penetration coat amounts to 0.15 ÷ 0.20 kg/m2 in one layer in dependence on the absorbability and roughness of the base.

Initial tests types according to EN 1504-2 issued by TZÚS Prague.
Supervision of the quality system, EMS and OHSAS is carried out by Notified Body No. 1020.
Instruction for preparation and application.
Base. Any incoherent, loose or weatherworn particles shall be removed from the surface of the base. When the composition is applied, the new concrete shall be 7 days old at least and moisture of the base should not exceed 6%.
This composition is prepared by proper mixing of components A and B in specified rate. The mixing rate is the following:
Component A (weight parts) | Component B (weight parts) | |
BETOFIX SW | 4 | 1 |
Components A and B are mixed in a sufficiently voluminous vessel by an electrically driven propeller agitator.
Workability. Workability of prepared composition ranges about 30 minutes under 20°C. The prepared composition shall be efficiently protected against desiccation.
Neither temperature of the base nor temperature of ambient air shall be below +10 °C and above +30 °C.
Application of the coat. The first step is penetration of the base by the penetration and anchoring coat BETOLIT KP W. Penetration is applied preferably by a roller or, possibly, a brush in quantity amounting to 100 – 150 g/m2 in dependence on absorbance of the base. In case of larger surfaces it is practical to apply BETOLIT KP W by spraying using some convenient airless devices.
After 24 hours BETOFIX SW is applied by a roller or, possibly, by a brush in quantity amounting to approximately 200 g/m2 per one layer. If BETOFIX SW is applied by spraying, it is practical to adjust its consistency by the diluent BETOFIX R in quantity up to 10%.
Open time. After mixing two components together so called open time of the penetration and the coating is max. 30 minutes under 20 ºC. Please notice that the open time significantly shortens with rising temperature.
Specific consumption
Spreading capacity (specific consumption) of BETOFIX SW amounts to 0.2 ÷ 0.25 kg/m2 per one layer on dependence on roughness of the base. This spreading capacity ensures that the hardened film is approximately 120 – 150 µm thick.
